Today I Learned: GitHub1s VSCode Instances

There is a fantastic open source project called github1s that allows you to view and edit GitHub repositories with ease in your browser. Sometimes reading code on the GitHub website itself can be cumbersome, especially if you start falling down the rabbithole of a large repository, github1s aims to solve this in an extremely convenient way.

Head over to your favourite GitHub repository, like Kubernetes shown below.

All you need to do to get this excellent VSCode in a browser to better trawl through the code, and edit if you so desire is to add 1s after the github domain, as shown below.

Once you've done that you can now profit from a VSCode experience!
